I have always liked the Wolfie (the original went through an important phase of his youth, 1960)
I have never seen the Stranglers earlier version, it was interesting, but do not change the head:)
Normally I'm not a big fan of The Stranglers, but it was a good cover, though a little too steep. But, I love some Kinks and I have to go the original in this case.
The first time listening to The Stranglers version of this song. But .... My choice is The Kinks.

In general, however, prefer the Stranglers.
