Looking for a children's book? - pictures of red wagon birthday cakes
When I was a kid, I had to sell a hardcover picture book about a boy, or to give a litter of kittens had. He left with the boy in a red truck. The problem was that everyone has a cat that would be a different animal. He came home late in the day filled with a cart with all kinds of animals, including an aquarium with small fish. I loved this book and wanted to share with my children. If someone knows the title or author, it would be greatly appreciated.

The book is entitled to a kitten Kim (Adelaide. Holl). It was a week book club reading - I have a hardback book from my childhood in the early 1970s - I'm not sure that the book was originally published. The main character is a boy named Kim, whose cat had kittens. His parents say he can keep the mother and one kitten, but the need for nursing homes. This can take your car to drive through the area. The "trade" for other animals - a dog, a parrot, goldfish, and if his parents think soooo happy when he comes home without cats. Cute little book - my 4 year old daughter loves it too!
